Wireless communications represent a huge opportunity but also a challenge to today’s enterprises and individuals.  Properly combined with traditional (wireline) voice and data solutions, wireless communications can provide productive and economical connectivity to anyone, anywhere, anytime.  This course provides participants with a working understanding and appreciation of the special challenges involved with the implementation of wireless solutions and the current strategies available to meet those challenges.  In addition, all major markets and opportunities for wireless networks are discussed with an emphasis on current and near-future implementations.

• Realize the benefits and challenges of satellite links and wireless broadband access.

• Non-technical personnel  who wish to understand the business case and market opportunities for wireless communications and desire to develop a general appreciation for the challenges and solutions in the wireless arena.  (Line and staff management, contract and personnel supervisors, marketing and sales employees, finance specialists…)
• Technical personnel  will develop an understanding of the fundamental challenges and technological solutions developed to provide acceptable wireless communication in practical environments.  (Technical staff and managers, engineers, technicians, system administrators…)
