This course teaches the nature of the Portal technology and the primary motivations behind it. The course introduces IBM's WebSphere Portal Server family of products. The main objective is to provide information on:

1. What type of business problems can be solved by a Portal site
2. What are the out of the box features of WebSphere Portal

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to better plan for a Portal site implementation and fully leverage the out of the box capacity of the WebSphere Portal product.
