The Testing Maturity Model (TMM^SM) is that exciting tool. It can help generate significant changes in an organization's testing process. TMM^SM was developed in 1996 by the Illinois Institute of Technology, but has not received its deserved recognition until recently. It can be used either as a companion with CMM, CMMI, ISO - 9001, or ISO/IEC Std 12207 or as a stand-alone tool.
