The Testing Maturity Model (TMMSM) is that exciting tool. It can help generate significant changes in an organization's testing process. TMMSM was developed in 1996 by the Illinois Institute of Technology, but has not received its deserved recognition until recently. It can be used either as a companion with CMM, CMMI, ISO - 9001, or ISO/IEC Std 12207 or as a stand-alone tool.
